Sachiko M is a musician who uses the sampler as an instrument. Rather than apply the device's original function of sampling recorded material, she makes music using nothing but its internal test tone sine waves. Her approach to this radically minimalistic sound and meticulously thorough music has created a sensation worldwide. Sachiko M has collaborated with influential artists both inside and outside Japan. This is Sachiko M's third solo album, following "Sine Wave Soloz" (Amoebic) and "Derive" (Noise Asia). While the two earlier recordings are made up entirely of short tracks, Bar Sachiko is a single 60-minute performance using just two sine waves. A shocking creation!

Sachiko M はサンプラーを"楽器"として使用するミュージシャンだが、本来の用途であるサンプリング機材としては用いず、元々内蔵されているテスト・トーン用のサイン波だけを使って音楽を作っている。その極端なまでにシンプルでミニマリスティックなサウンドと、潔いまでに徹底した音楽に対する姿勢は世界的に大きな反響を呼んだ。ソロでの演奏、大友良英とのデュオ「Filament」、吉田アミとのデュオ「Cosmos」での活動を始め、国内外で様々なミュージシャンと共演してきた。本作は彼女にとって、『Sine Wave Solo』 (Amoebic)、『Derive』(Noise Asia) に続く3枚目のソロ・アルバムだが、演奏時間の短い曲ばかりからなる前2作とは違い、今回は60分にも及ぶ長時間を2本のサイン波だけで演奏した1曲のみ収録の超衝撃作！なお、タイトルは東京、代々木のギャラリー「オフサイト」で Sachiko M がおこなっていた不定期シリーズ「BAR さちこ」に由来する。
